Chicago Fire spoilers: What to expect in Chicago Fire season 11, episode 2 (Preview)
Kidd gives Carver a chance to shine in Chicago Fire season 11, episode 2. Here’s a look at what to expect in the new episode.
Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) is not happy about the new recruit at Firehouse 51. She knows him from her time at the Fire Academy, and she does not have anything nice to say about him. It’s not like she didn’t try to get to know who he is now, but he still gave off some bad vibes.
However, Boden (Eamonn Walker) is impressed with Sam Carver (Jake Lockett), and he wants Carver to find a permanent home at 51. He’s taking a small step back to see how Kidd leads him, but he’s going to fight for this guy to stick around. That’s certainly going to cause some problems.
It’s not surprising to hear that this is the main focus for the new episode. It’s not going to be the only story, though.
Chicago Fire 11×02 promo
Take a look at the promo for the episode. It gives us a look at Carver’s attitude at work. He wants to save people, but does he have a problem asking for help? He’s struggling to hold the weight of two people up, and his unwillingness to call out for help could get him and others in some sort of trouble.
Chicago Fire 11×02 synopsis
The synopsis for the new episode goes into a few other details. We also get to see that there’s going to be plenty of time for Kidd and Carver to get to know each other. They’ll be called out to help Carver’s former boss. Is this going to explain where those burn scars came from on his shoulder?
We’ll also get to see Javi Cruz (Carlos S. Sanchez) again. This is the little boy Cruz (Joe Minoso) saved after Javi felt out of a broken window. Seeing Casey move to Portland to look after children who weren’t his gave Cruz an idea to bring Javi into his own family. Chloe approved, and now Javi has been adopted by the couple. We’ll get to see Javi spend some time at Firehouse 51, which could set him on this career path.
During the previous episode, Violet (Hanako Greensmith) and Hawkins (Jimmy Nicholas) made up. They now get a chance to have an official relationship, and Gallo (Alberto Rosende) has decided it’s time to move on. He’ll search for that someone new in the new episode.
"Javi spends a couple of shifts at Firehouse 51. Kidd and Carver work together to help Carver’s former boss. As Hawkins and Violet’s relationship blossoms, Gallo turns his attention elsewhere."

Chicago Fire 11×02 photos
The images of the episode do focus on the call from the promo. However, there are also some photos of Brett (Kara Killmer) and Mouch (Christian Stolte). It looks like this is something to do with the Paramedicine program, and I love that this is getting more of a focus.
