Is there a new Chicago Fire episode tonight? (November 30)
Wednesdays are supposed to be all about Chicago Fire and the rest of the One Chicago lineup. What’s going on tonight, Wednesday, Nov. 30?
We still have one more Chicago Fire episode of 2022. The big question for many is if that episode is going to air tonight. There is some disappointing news.
Taking the week of Thanksgiving off made sense. People would travel on the Wednesday night. However, NBC is taking another night off from new episodes of the entire One Chicago lineup. There isn’t even going to be a rerun of Chicago Fire on tonight.
Instead, NBC will air the 90th Annual Christmas in Rockefeller Center. It is a huge annual event, so it makes sense to air it live on NBC tonight. The bad news is that it means two weeks of no new episodes of Firehouse 51 in action.

When will Chicago Fire season 11 return with new episodes?
We have one more episode to air in 2022. That episode is going to air next Wednesday, Dec. 7. The episode will air at the usual 9 p.m. ET/PT time.
This is the fall finale, which means something big is going to happen. It’s likely there will be a cliffhanger that will throw us into the winter break, and it looks like it could involve Kidd being trapped in a building. Severide is on the outside in the promo, and we know he’ll be scared of what could happen to his wife. He’ll feel helpless on the outside the way Kidd felt helpless that time Severide and the whole of Squad 3 were trapped underwater.
The break isn’t going to be too long. Chicago Fire will return with the winter premiere on Wednesday, Jan. 3. The entire One Chicago lineup is back that same night. Maybe we’ll get some crossover events in 2023. It’s not been easy with the pandemic still causing some filming problems, but there’s always hope some big event will happen. Other franchises have made things work.
