When a show hits a decade, there’s bound to be some cast turnover. There are tons of examples of this happening since the advent of television, and Chicago PD is no exception. There have been characters who have been killed off, hauled off (in handcuffs) or simply written off without much of an explanation.

We’ve already discussed some of the PD characters who are guaranteed not to return in season 10, so we figured we’d wade into murkier waters and discuss characters who technically have a shot at returning, even if it’s highly unlikely they will.

Here’s a quick rundown of three beloved characters who (probably) won’t be returning during the tenth season of Chicago PD.

Is Antonio Dawson in Chicago PD season 10?

Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) is a beloved figure in Chicago PD history. He’s emblematic of a fondly remembered period in the show, and there’s been consistent chatter about whether he’d return at some point in a cameo. Seda is open to the idea, and even joked about a crossover event between PD and his current show, La Brea.

Unfortunately, La Brea is also the reason a Dawson reunion is unlikely. The actor plays a crucial part in the show, and juggling two different shooting schedules in two different parts of the world just isn’t feasible. It’s safe to assume the Dawson drought will continue.
