We are more than ready to see what’s in store next for Firehouse 51. Will we get to see the new calls in Chicago Fire tonight, Wednesday, April 19?

There has been a lot going on in Chicago Fire this season. The biggest storyline has been Taylor Kinney’s Severide leaving abruptly. This was due to Kinney’s temporary exit from the series for personal reasons, and there are still a lot of questions surrounding it—mostly about when and if he’ll return. The actor was spotted on his girlfriend’s Instagram at Easter, marking the first time since December 2022.

Will we get any answers in a new episode tonight? This is where we have some bad news. Chicago Fire will not air a new episode tonight, Wednesday, April 19. As we previously reported, there will not be a new episode of the series for the rest of April.

When will Chicago Fire return with new episodes?

There is some good news, though. The break is almost over. The series will return on Wednesday, May 3.

On top of the break almost being over, the great news is that this is the last one. There are four episodes left of the season and they will air back-to-back as soon throughout May. Then the series is going on its usual summer break.

The summer break is going to be hard, but at least it is just a summer break. NBC brought us the excellent news that Chicago Fire season 12 is happening. The show will have another 22 episodes, suggesting that it will return in the fall. We can’t see NBC changing the fall schedule that much, especially not the One Chicago lineup on Wednesdays.
