A feud starts at Firehouse 51 between the paramedics. Here are all the Chicago Fire spoilers you need for season 11, episode 20.

There are only three episodes left of Chicago Fire season 11, and this first one sees Brett go up against First Shift and Boden. When there’s a mistake on a call, she is determined to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Meanwhile, we’ll see Herrmann on more of a personal journey throughout the episode. He wants to be a better man after everything that has happened in his life, and I absolutely adore this storyline potential. It could be a somewhat humorous storyline for the episode, too.

Chicago Fire spoilers: 11×20 promo

The promo is cut very badly in my opinion. It focuses on Brett’s storyline, which will see her find out that First Shift didn’t replace the medical equipment needed. This equipment is needed in the field. We don’t get to see what effect it has on the call overall, but it’s clear that Brett is not happy with something going wrong.

Boden says that someone made a mistake, but Brett views it as more than that. It’s negligence. This is where the bad cutting comes in. It looks like Brett is threatening Boden based on the cutting, but if you look carefully, she really isn’t talking to him. They are two different scenes and the cutting of the sound also sounds like her speech comes from two different parts of the episode.

Chicago Fire spoilers: 11×20 synopsis

The synopsis tells us a little more of what’s going on in the episode with other characters. Herrmann wants to be a better man after Cindy’s cancer journey. He had to deal with a lot of emotions and extra tasks in the house. While he did step up to the plate, I think he realized just how much he’d put on his wife over the years, and he wants that to change. I love that we see a man support his wife and want to be better.

We’ll also get to see Kidd bond with a homeless kid while on a call. Kylie is preparing for her firefighter exams. Does that mean she’ll end up being a new member of Firehouse 51 with Truck or Engine in the future?

"Herrmann works on becoming a better man after Cindy’s cancer journey. Kidd bonds with a homeless victim on a call. Kylie takes her firefighter exams. A harrowing call takes a toll on Brett."
