Who’s leaving Law and Order: SVU?
The biggest casting shakeup in recent years to Law and Order: SVU came with the exit of actress Kelly Giddish after 12 seasons as Det. Amanda Rollins. Rollins’ exit from the series was announced leading up to the season premiere and seems to have been made by the show’s higher-ups rather than by Giddish directly, which is a true shame. While Giddish did return for the season 24 finale, no plans have been announced for her to return next season.
Also out is actress Molly Burnett, who joined the show in season 24 as a series regular. The circumstances around Burnett’s exit remain unknown, but her character is still alive in the show meaning there is a chance we could see her pop back up at some point in the future.
Law and Order: SVU season 25 cast
Law & Order: SVU season 25 will once again be led by Mariska Hargitay who will be back as Captain Olivia Benson again in season 25. She’ll be joined by a slew of returning faces including Ice T, Peter Scanavino, and Octavio Pisano. Here are the cast members currently expected back for season 25:

- Ice T as Detective Odafin “Fin” Tutuola
- Peter Scanavino as ADA Dominick “Sonny” Carisi, Jr.
- Octavio Pisano as Detective Joe Velasco
