Chicago PD is setting up some grim stakes for the season 10 finale. The IU are tasked with taking down a local terrorist group before they take out hundreds of people in nearby areas, and its up to Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) and his undercover connections to lead the charge.

The promo teaser and the interviews from the cast members have confirmed that we are looking at a particularly eventful episode of Chicago PD, so it should come as no surprise that we will be seeing the return of an important secondary character as well.

Who plays Nina Chapman on Chicago PD?

The character in question is Assistant District Attorney Nina Chapman (Sara Bues). Chapman has appeared in a handful of episodes over the course of PD‘s history, with the most recent being the season 10 episode “The Ghost in You.”

The episode saw Chapman deal with the fallout of one of her past connections, and the discovery of a dark secret that Voight (Jason Beghe) ultimately decided to leave buried. Chapman and Voight have lots of years of experience dealing with each other, and they have an understanding, even if it’s not a close personal friendship.

Given the severity of the attacks the IU is facing, and the legal punishments that those responsible are looking at, it makes sense that Chapman would be brought in to help navigate. The photos for the episode show Chapman and Voight sitting together in what appears to be an interrogation room.

While it’s unclear who they are interrogating in the photo, an additional photo of one of the attackers, Samantha Beck (Caitlin Mehner), confirm that she is sitting on the other side of the table. Beck is the one member of the domestic terrorist group that Ruzek has formed a bond with, so it makes sense that she would be the one coerced into playing ball with the police. Let’s hope she does it in time to save lives.
