During Chicago Fire season 10, fans saw a change at Firehouse 51. Wallace Boden was finally promoted, and it was a promotion that was supposed to lead him out of Firehouse 51. However, the team got together to find a way to keep Boden with them.

Throughout season 11, we watched as Boden navigated his new role while remaining close to his firehouse family. At the end of the season, he was the one there at the hospital initially to make sure Mouch made it through. However, he wasn’t there when Herrmann ran to get help for Mouch as he bled out. Boden is going to be the chief that they all need.

What will happen to Wallace Boden in Chicago Fire season 12?

We don’t have any details on what to expect for characters in Chicago Fire season 12. The writers went on strike in May 2023, and there were no scripts written before that. The basic storylines may have only just been discussed by that point.

The actors and writers are now on strike together. This is set to be a long one, and they’re not talking about the show at all.

That being said, we can look at how Chicago Fire season 11 ended to get an idea of what’s in store. Boden will need to be a calming and reassuring voice for the entire family. Whether Mouch makes it through alive or not, everyone is going to be shocked and nervous. Boden will need to be there for those who need it.

Of course, he is close to Mouch. Boden, Mouch, and Herrmann have been through their careers together, so this is going to hit close to home for Boden in the way Herrmann’s accident did in the early seasons of the series. Hopefully, we’ll see more of his personal life to see how he’s handling it when he’s not in the office.

Then there’s everything with Kelly Severide being away. We found out at the end of the 11th season that Severide finished up one thing and secretly moved on to another. Does Boden know anything that’s going on? We’ll need to see how he handles that news of yet another trusted lieutenant gone.
