Unfortunately, due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, the official release date for the fifth season remains shrouded in uncertainty, with CBS yet to provide a concrete date. Typically, FBI: Most Wanted has a September release window, as both seasons 3 and 4 began airing in September and concluded in May. However, given the recent delays, the earliest we can reasonably predict the return of FBI: Most Wanted to our screens with new episodes is in January 2024.

FBI: Most Wanted season 5 strike news

Much like many other movies and TV shows, the production of season 7 of FBI: Most Wanted has faced delays due to the WGA (Writers Guild of America) and SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) strikes. However, there appears to be some light at the end of the tunnel after months of uncertainty.

The WGA strike came to an end on September 27, 2023, following a resilient 146 days of industrial action. It was announced that a tentative agreement had been reached between the WGA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, paving the way for a new three-year contract.

On the other hand, the SAG-AFTRA strike is still ongoing, with no official resolution announced as of yet. Despite the challenges, there is hope that progress will be made in the near future. We’ll continue to keep you updated on any developments regarding the impact of these strikes on the production and release of FBI: Most Wanted season 7.

FBI: Most Wanted season 5 cast

As of the latest update, there have been no official announcements regarding new cast additions for FBI: Most Wanted season 5. The current ensemble remains intact, featuring:
