Does FBI season 6 have a release date?

CBS renewed FBI for a sixth season in May 2022, and over a year later, we still don’t have an official release date for the upcoming season. Granted, the 2023 writer’s and actor’s strikes heavily impacted the entertainment industry, and halted productions on all scripted shows, so although unsurprising, it’s still disappointing.

Originally FBI season 6 was supposed to debut in CBS’s 2023 Fall lineup, but now the sixth season is likely to premiere sometime in 2024. Some sources speculate that the crime drama could return to our screens as early as January 2024, however, we’re not so sure.

Needless to say, at this time it’s pretty hard to determine when the show could find its way back to our screens, but we still remain hopeful that FBI season 6 will be released soon.

What’s the latest writer’s strike update?

Finally, we have some good news! In a significant turn of events, the writer’s strikes, which cast a shadow over the entertainment industry in 2023, have finally come to an end, officially concluding on September 27, 2023, after a grueling 148 days.

This news brings renewed hope for not only the FBI series but also numerous other beloved shows! However, as the dust settles from the strike, questions loom over how this resolution will impact the release schedule of the popular series. While there’s no explicit word on FBI season 6 at this moment, it finds itself in a unique position, likely having the majority of scripts written for the season, but it is still being delayed by the actor’s strike, as SAG-AFTRA union has yet to even begin negotiating with the studios.

That being said, negotiations are expected to commence soon! In the meantime, fans and industry insiders alike are holding their breath, eager to see how these developments will shape the future of our favorite shows.
