The fall finales of CBS’s FBI franchise shows have arrived and with the shows’ final episodes of the year comes the start of what will be the season’s longest break yet.
FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted sign off the air with their fall finales on Dec. 17, and those episodes will not only be the last new episodes of the year, but they’ll also be the last new episodes fans will get to enjoy until late January when the shows finally return with their first new episode of 2025.
So just when will the FBI shows be back? Following their fall finales, fans will have to wait until Jan. 28 for the next new episodes to drop. That’s right, we have a five-week break ahead of us as CBS sends the shows on a winter hiatus which is honestly coming much later than we’re used to seeing.
Most shows on broadcast have already signed off for the year which is why ABC, FOX, and NBC shows will be returning to the airwaves earlier in January. CBS, however, chose to take a different approach to its scheduling plans for the final months of the year and kept its shows including FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted on the air through mid-December.
In doing so, this has allowed fans to enjoy new episodes of FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted most of December with CBS basically being the only broadcast network to air new episodes of scripted originals most of the month.
The result of this, though, is that we’ll have to wait until the final week of January to see CBS’s shows return – thus why FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted aren’t coming back until Jan. 28, 2025.
Of course, if you find yourself missing FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted during the long break ahead, you can always turn to Paramount+ which is the streaming home for all three Wolf Entertainment series. The long break is a perfect time to catch up on episodes if you happened to fall behind at any point during the season, or simply to rewatch your favorite episodes as you wait for the shows to kick off the new year with fresh episodes.
The good news is that when the shows do return in January, it seems we’ll get at least two back-to-back episodes before the shows take another break as CBS has already confirmed its plans to air new episodes on Feb. 4 as well. As for what’s to come as February rolls around? We’ll have to wait to see what the schedule will look like in the new year!
Don’t miss the returns of FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted on Tuesday, Jan. 28 on CBS!
