Brace yourself One Chicago fans, it seems yet another is coming our way and it’s coming incredibly soon. Fans will be getting new episodes of Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD on March 6; however, after the March 5 episodes, the One Chicago shows will be taking yet another break in their schedule.

As confirmed via NBC’s primetime schedule, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD are going on another break with no new episodes planned for the shows on Wednesday, March 12. That’s right, after three weeks of new episodes, NBC is putting the shows back into rerun mode for what will be a two-week break in the schedule.

It has become a common practice for the One Chicago shows to take a 2-week break sometime in the month of March. Many times, this 2-week break has come in the middle of the month which is indeed the case again this year with the shows in reruns for March 12 and March 19.

The March 6 episodes ended with some major cliffhangers that are sure to keep fans talking during this two-week break.

Chicago Med episode 15 saw Ripley facing his demons following a near-death moment, and also teased a dark backstory coming via the arrival of Frost’s former costar. Chicago Fire lived up to its promise of a character dying with the death of a key character which promises to send Chief Pascal into a spiral. We also saw a major development in Severide and Kidd’s adoption efforts and welcomed the tease of a character’s return to 51. Meanwhile, Chicago PD finally made good on its promise that Reid would soon create some major trouble for Voight with an episode that made it clear just how big a threat he really is.

Needless to say, the episodes left fans with a lot to digest over the break and we're in store for some amazing episodes when Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago PD resume their seasons with new episodes on March 26! In the meantime, it seems we'll have to settle for some reruns as we wait for the next new episodes arrive.

In lieu of new episodes on March 12, NBC has confirmed that it will air an encore presentation of the One Chicago "In the Trenches" crossover which means that the schedule for the One Chicago shows will look a little different again that night with Chicago Fire opening the night instead of Chicago Med. The crossover was an amazing three-hour event, and it will make a perfect rewatch for fans hoping to enjoy their weekly One Chicago fix that Wednesday night when the shows take the week off. It's not yet known what the plan might be for March 19.
