Chicago Med might not return with new episodes until the new year, but Fox is about to give fans a fun surprise to help pass the fall hiatus!
Hot off her recent return in season 11, Torrey DeVitto is making her way back to the small screen to face off against seven fellow celebrity doctors, some real and some who just play them on TV, in the season finale of Celebrity Weakest Link. The special episode will see DeVitto and her fellow TV doctors facing off to win up to one million dollars for the charity of their choice across multiple rounds of trivia.
DeVitto will be repping the One Chicago franchise following her six-season series regular role as Dr. Natalie Manning on Chicago Med. She’ll be facing off against some stiff competition in what is going to be a who’s who of TV doctors!
Joining DeVitto in the episode will be real TV doctors Dr. Terry Dubrow (Botched), Dr. Sandra Lee (Dr. Pimple Popper), and Dr. Will Kirby (Big Brother), as well as four fellow TV doctors from some of the biggest medical dramas. There’s Kal Penn, who played Dr. Lawrence Kutner for three seasons on House; Ryan Eggold, who played Dr. Max Goodwin across all five seasons of New Amsterdam; Jason George, who has played Dr. Ben Warren for 15 years across Grey’s Anatomy and its spinoff, Station 19; and Hill Harper, who played Dr. Marcus Andrews for six seasons on The Good Doctor.
Chicago Med fans won’t want to miss out on seeing DeVitto face off against these seven TV doctors, and we are certainly rooting for her to bring home the win for the One Chicago franchise. It’s also going to be fun to see what quips host Jane Lynch might throw DeVitto’s direction between rounds and to see how she stacks up against her fellow TV doctors.
Regardless of where she places in the Celebrity Weakest Link “TV Doctors” episode, it’s going to be nice to see DeVitto celebrating her time as Dr. Manning and for Chicago Med to be represented in the episode. We loved getting to see DeVitto back in season 11 for her two-episode guest arc, and it’s fun to see her follow the guest spot with a place in the Celebrity Weakest Link finale!
