NBC released the premiere dates for the 2025-2026 network season and all three shows in the Law and Order franchise were included. We had already gotten confirmation from both ABC and CBS on when their hit shows would return, and now NBC and FOX have both announced when to expect their shows to premiere.
Luckily, fans won’t have to wait too much longer, at least unlike CBS. Many of their programming will be returning in October. NBC, in particular, will begin airing its shows in the middle of September, which will give the network some time before the NBA begins on Tuesday, Oct. 21.
All three shows from the Law & Order franchise will be airing on Thursdays. This includes season 5 of Organized Crime, which originally streamed on Peacock. Now, all 10 episodes will air during the regular television schedule block.
The shows will begin airing on Thursday, September 25, beginning with Law & Order season 25, which will be on at 8/7c. Following will be Law & Order: SVU, which is going into season 27 beginning at 9/8c. Finally, Organized Crime will air at 10/9c. With Organized Crime coming back in the fall, this means The Hunting Party is being pushed to 2026 and will likely take over the 10 pm time slot at midseason.
So far, there has not been word on whether Organized Crime will return for season 6. But fans will be able to check out season 5 if they have not watched the show already on Peacock. However, it is also a treat for fans who have already watched it and want to check out the season to give it some more ratings to hopefully get another season!
With the shows gearing up to begin a little later in September, this might mean the network is making sure its programs stay on schedule, especially with shorter episode counts for the upcoming seasons. With such late start times, this also means that we have to wait a little longer during the hiatus before we can start hitting record for nights we might miss an episode.
However, while we wait for the Law & Order shows to return, you can always head over to Hulu to watch the previous seasons of both the original Law & Order and SVU to see what you missed. Organized Crime is only available on Peacock if you want to check out the episodes there if you don’t want to wait for September.
