We don't hate these characters, but these combos didn't work.

We don't have anything against these two as individuals, even though we've gone pretty hard on this pairing in previous posts. The thing is, it's weird! Brett and Joe Cruz (Joe Minoso) are funny whenever they get paired together because their eccentricities often clash in funny ways, but this propensity for clashing is exactly why their romance didn't work!

To be fair to both parties, they recognized that the relationship wasn't working pretty quickly, and they broke up in season 3. They've been good ever since, even if their not-so-exciting past led to some confusion over whether Cruz was invited to the Brettsey wedding (he was, of course).
