Alberto Rosende wife: Is the Chicago Fire star married in real life?

Blake Gallo is on his way out. The Chicago Fire character is slated to leave during the season 12 premiere, despite being a crucial part of the show for the last four seasons. The character has not had the easiest time when it comes to his love life, as evidenced by his complicated relationship with Violet (Hanako Greensmith), so fans might be curious about the love life of the actor who plays Gallo, Alberto Rosende.

The Chicago Fire cast generally like to keep their personal lives under wraps, and focus on promoting the show, but Rosende is actually one of the most active social media users on the show, and he has been forthright when it comes to sharing details about his life and his relationship status.

Rosende is engaged to former co-star Tessa Mossey

Alberto Rosende is not married, but he is currently engaged to actress Tessa Mossey. The two have known each other since 2016, when they were both cast in the Freeform show Shadowhunters. The former played Simon, a daylighter (aka vampire able to walk in sunlight), and the latter played Heidi, a normal woman who eventually gets converted to vampirism.

Rosende was a central cast member on Shadowhunters, and Mossey was a later addition, but the two would play numerous scenes together, as Mossey's character developed a romantic obsessions with Rosende's. The actress talked about it during an interview with MyFanBase in 2019:

Rosende and Mossey got engaged in December 2021

Fortunately, the pair were very much on the same page in real life. Rosende and Mossey began dating in 2018, and have appeared on each other's Instagram profiles over the years. On February 14, 2023, Rosende posted a photo of him and Mossey kissing with the caption: "Thank you for making today special. You make everyday special. My valentine."

Rosende announced his engagement to Mossey in December 2021. He posted a video of the actress on his Instagram Stories without the caption: "Ladies and gentleman… My fiancée @Tessamossey."

Some fans have theorized that Rosende is leaving Chicago Fire to spend more time with his fiance, but the actor has not given a specific reason as to why he decided to pull the plug on his character.
