Chicago Fire is coming back in September (and here's how you can catch up before season 13)

Summer is drawing to an end and school is starting back up, which means Fall TV is just around the corner, and with it comes the returns of all of our favorite shows including Chicago Fire. 

This year, NBC is kicking off its fall schedule in the final week of September with Chicago Fire and the One Chicago shows coming back on Wednesday, September 25! The September premieres marks a return to normalcy for fans following last year’s strike-delayed seasons which didn’t premiere in the fall marking the first time since 2011 that there was no new One Chicago franchise series airing as part of NBC’s fall lineup. 

Thankfully, the cast and crew have been hard at work since July on the show’s thirteenth season and we’re finally back to a normal premiere rotation which means we’ll be getting new episodes across the fall months following the Sept. 25 premiere. 

Season 13 promises to be a season of change with new faces joining the mix and last season’s newcomers still settling in after joining the team in the final episodes of the season. While there will be a few fan favorites missing when the show returns, most of our longtime cast members will be back in action ready for another season full of dramatic moments, daring rescues, near-death moments, romance, and the perfect amount of humor to lighten the mood.

With the Chicago Fire season 13 premiere fast approaching, there is no better time to go back and catch up on the most recent season of the show before season 13 kicks off in late September! Fortunately, there are a few options for those who are hoping to rewatch the show’s most recent season as a quick refresher, and thanks to the show’s shorter season last year it won’t take you long to rewatch season 12. 

If you’re looking to stream Chicago Fire season 12 before the season 13 premiere, you’re best best it going to be Peacock. Not only is Peacock home to the most recent season of Chicago Fire, but it's also home to every single season of the show and will also be the home to new episodes of season 13 as they begin airing on NBC in the fall.
