Chicago Fire confirms Brettsey wedding reception will be at [SPOILER]
We've talked at length about the build-up to the Brettsey wedding, but can you blame us? It's the biggest story of Chicago Fire's current season, surpassing the exit of Blake Gallo (Alberto Rosende) or the arrival of newcomer Derrick Gibson (Rome Flynn).
It's the culmination of a multi-year saga for Syvlie Brett (Kara Killmer) and Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer) and its one that the actress playing the former couldn't be more thrilled to bring to life. She sang the praises of the Chicago Fire writing team during a recent interview with PrimeTimer.
Brettsey will celebrate their wedding at Molly's Pub
She also revealed some exciting information about the location of the Brettsey wedding reception.
As fans know, the search for a wedding venue has been a tricky one for Brett. She thought about doing it at Molly's Pub, but it was too small, and she discovered that anywhere else she had in mind were booked until well after her wedding date.
Fortunately, the 51 team were able to rally together and put together a spot that looks dazzling in the promo photos. Some fans may have been disappointed, given the crucial role that Molly's Pub has played in the courtship of Brett and Casey, but don't worry because the couple have got us covered!
The reception was Kara Killmer's last day on set
Killmer told PrimeTimer that Molly's will serve as the location for Brettsey's wedding reception, and that the shoot at Molly's actually constituted her last day of filming:
"My last day was the reception at Molly's and so it was a big party. We're all eating cake and dancing. It was the perfect conclusion for Sylvie and for me."
Talk about perfect timing. The actress admitted that the making of season 12 has been bittersweet, given that she's come to view much of the cast and crew as family, but she could not have asked for a better sendoff than the one she got.

Killmer revealed that her final day on set was spent in the company of the rest of the cast, and that she got a chance to eat as much of the cake as she wanted. She even joked that her wedding dress fit a bit tighter by the end of the day.
As far as advice on how to prepare for the wedding, Killmer advised fans to have a few things handy: a box of tissues, a bowl of cookie dough, and perhaps even a bottle of champagne. "Why not join in the celebration?," she posited.
Sounds like a plan to us!
