Doctor Odyssey trailer reveals multiple big named guest stars
The Doctor is in, and we're ready to see the many saves and medical emergencies. Doctor Odyssey arrives in less than a week, and the first full-length trailer is out.
We already knew to expect some top-named guest stars here and there. After all, the Queen of Country Pop is going to be in at least one episode, and the latest trailer gives us the same clip from the teaser. We still have no idea who Shania Twain is going to play.
That's not all. The Doctor Odyssey trailer makes it clear there are more big names. It looks like a big guest star per episode, which makes sense considering how many people Ryan Murphy has worked with over the year.
John Stamos, Cheyenne Jackson, and more joining the guest list on Doctor Odyssey
The Odyssey may end up being a cruise ship people don't want to go on with all the emergencies that happen, but for now, it's one that everyone wants to get a vacation on.
The trailer gave us a look at John Stamos and Cheyenne Jackson in a scene together. Could they be playing husbands on a honeymoon? There's sure to be some sort of personal drama in there just based on the way they're dressed!
Gina Gershon, Chord Overstreet, Justin Jedlica, Stephanie Suganami, and Kelsea Ballerini are also on the list of guests on the ship. We don't get a good look at the man who goes overboard, but it looks like he will be saved. At least initially.
Take a look at all the guest stars:
The trailer also makes it clear that there is a romance happening. Joshua Jackson's Max and Phillipa Soo's Avery hook up. They have an awkward non-conversation in the elevator the next day, and it's clear there is something to be said. We are ready for this romance to unfold.
It does look like Avery will become a shoulder for Max to lean on. At one moment, he looks to have tears in his eyes and he leans into her for comfort. Does he lose a patient and she's there to support him? Will we have a doctor who really cares about his patients on the ship?
Doctor Odyssey premieres on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 9/8c on ABC.
