The new episode will see Severide, Kidd, and Van Meter attend a fire at a recording studio. The promo makes it clear that there is a victim trapped, and the three will need to find another way to get to him before it’s too late.

With Van Meter being there, it would suggest that there is potential arson involved. Is he going to continue to push Severide to go the arson route? After all, Severide has always been good at this. He’s tried to avoid it for so long, but eventually, your calling gets you.

Meanwhile, Kylie will be in the episode, and we’ll see more of James, Boden’s stepson. He has a secret that he wants to keep from Boden, and Kylie will do that. That’s sure to end up with some trouble, right?

As all that goes on, it looks like Mouch offers the comedic relief. He ends up with a paramedicine patient who is a little too obsessed with him. We do see that people who are saved end up gaining an attraction for those who saved them. It’s happened a lot for Severide, but not so much for Mouch. I’m guessing that this is going to be the storyline here, and I’m intrigued by how he’ll handle it.

"Severide, Kidd and Van Meter investigate a fire at a recording studio; Kylie helps James keep a secret from Boden; Mouch struggles to maintain boundaries with a paramedicine client."
