Chicago PD is old enough to have different eras. The procedural drama has been through lots of different permutations in the 11 seasons since it premiered, but there was a time when Jon Seda was one of PD's most important stars. His performance as Antonio Dawson was front and center in the action, which is a far cry from the current, ensemble-heavy format.

Seda reminded fans of his Chicago PD status on April 18, when he took to Instagram to post an incredible reunion photo. Not only did the actor reunite with his former co-star Jason Beghe, but Jesse Lee Soffer and Benjamin Levy Aguilar as well! Multiple generations of PD stars in one area!

Soffer has since left the show, of course, and Aguilar is such a recent addition that he never got to appear alongside Seda's character. Seda commemorated the meeting with his caption, which read:

"It was great to see you guys! #onechicago"

Seda has continued to be a regular on television, most recently on the sci-fi drama La Brea, but the actor has always held Chicago PD near and dear to his heart. He makes a point of posting pics with former cast members whenever he crosses paths with them, and he even teases the possibility of returning to the show as Dawson. "Antonio didn't die," he told Us Weekly. "He's still alive."

The thing that initially attracted Dawson to the One Chicago franchise was the scope of it. He told the outlet that he loved the notion of different shows interconnecting, and different characters crossing paths on a weekly basis:

"That whole universe is incredible. It was so unique. But it was so unique and to be a part of it from the beginning was really something special."

Seda is open to making a PD return

Seda's willingness to return is exciting, even if the Hollywood strikes made a potential cameo nearly impossible in season 11. There simply wasn't enough time to justify bringing in a character who was written off the show several years prior. Plus, Seda was busy with the final season of La Brea.

The good news is that Seda is no longer tied down by La Brea, and Chicago PD is predicted to resume its usual episode count in season 12, so we may finally get that Dawson return!
