FBI: International did not take long to show Riley Quinn’s reluctance to find something on Mitchell. Even though she got as far as finding information on his actions when the team was in Paris, what stopped her from completely turning against Mitchell?

In the episode, the team looked into the shooting of an American man, Reed, in Slovakia after a young woman witnessed the murder. She requested the help of the FBI, claiming the local cops were rude to her. Despite the team offering to help protect her, she wanted to be able to leave the police station.

As the team looked into the murder, Quinn was also looking into police reports filed regarding Mitchell. She found one that involved his actions in Paris when Cam was shot and Andre went missing. After informing Zaleski about it, he ordered her to send him everything.

Mitchell's career was put in jeopardy

They Paid More
“They Paid More” – When a bus full of American volunteers is hijacked in a dangerous section of Morocco, the Fly Team works to locate the missing aid workers and the people who kidnapped them, on FBI: INTERNATIONAL, Tuesday, Dec. 3 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs). The entire time, though, it was clear Quinn was hesitant. Plus, Cam had been very welcoming toward her and even talked to her about how important trust was on the team. While Quinn was busy with her secret investigation, Andre and Smitty figured out that based on the angle in which their victim was shot, their witness was the shooter.

They had to quickly find her before she killed Reed’s business partner, Hale. They had been under contract to work on the roads in Bratislava, but another partner had been involved. This was their killer’s father, who had taken his own life.

Things only became more complicated as it appeared that the lead cop, Janic, was on the take and there was a hit on the young woman who committed the murder. Just as Riley found her before she could escape the country, Janic held them at gunpoint.

Mitchell arrived in time to try and talk Janic down. When it didn’t work, he ended up shooting him. Of course, this got him in trouble with the local police and Riley had to decide if she was going to let Mitchell take the fall or defend him to the police.

Riley ultimately took the wrap

Blood Doesn't Become Water
“Blood Doesn’t Become Water” – The Fly Team leads an international manhunt when an American woman and her new husband flee from Baltimore to Istanbul in an attempt to avoid prosecution for murdering her son and escaping with the victim’s brother. Also, Vo partners up with Special Agent Riley Quinn (guest star Veronica St. Clair), who was not only sent to Budapest to work her first big case alongside The Fly Team but to also clandestinely investigate a member of the team, on FBI: INTERNATIONAL,

In the end, Riley decided to come clean, even though her brother had tried to convince her he should help him and not someone she only knew for days. But clearly, Riley has felt a strong pull towards the Fly Team and she spoke up for Mitchell.

Eventually, Riley decided to come clean to Cam. It didn’t take her long to tell Cam that someone was after Mitchell in the FBI. Only time will tell how the team takes this, especially since they all liked Riley.

Unfortunately, it will take some time before we get to see the aftermath of her confession. The next new episode of FBI: International will air in two weeks on Tuesday, March 11. Until then, you can watch previous episodes on Paramount+.
