NCIS had wedding bells ringing…technically. A murder that uncovered an undercover operation by none other than Nick Torres also had him and Jessica battling over his continuing relationship with her sister, Robin. How did things play out for the team?

When the team were called to a murder scene, Nick suddenly acted like he was ill in order to get away from the scene. Fingerprints found on a flask belonging to the victim ended up belonging to him. It didn’t take long for Parker to figure out Nick had to be on an undercover assignment.

The murder victim, Vince Kelso, was associated with a man named Roman Sobchek, who had moved up to selling ghost guns for his boss, who only goes by Vilk. The only way he communicates with Vilk is with a pager and a device that is capable of holding key information about the shipments.

Jessica and Nick staged a fake wedding

Knight and Day
“Knight and Day” – Things become tense when Knight is assigned to protect his wife after the home of a high-level defense contractor is attacked, on the CBS Original series NCIS, Monday, Nov. 25 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*. In order to get close enough to clone the information, they decide to do an undercover sting at a fake wedding for Jessica and Nick. This comes after Jessica had confronted Nick about how things were moving with her sister, Robin. Due to their argument almost ruining his cover, she quickly calls herself his fiancee so Roman’s bodyguards are none the wiser.

If Gibbs were here, he’d implement a new rule to never date a coworker’s family member. However, it is hard to deny how cute Robin and Nick are. Robin clearly worries over Nick since he can’t talk due to his assignment, and she even helps plan the fake wedding between her sister and boyfriend.

Even though it seems like Nick is still playing it casual, he does appear to care about Robin and has fun with her. During the “wedding,” they danced in order to keep Roman and his men distracted.

Things take a twist though, when Roman is found dead and while McGee was able to clone his device earlier, the files were deleted. Kasie quickly looks through surveillance to see who gave Roman whiskey, which was the only thing he drank and was not paid for by Vance.

Jessica and Jimmy still have romantic tension

Sticks & Stones
“Sticks & Stones” – After receiving intelligence on deadly threats to multiple locations that could lead to a catastrophic war, NCIS is called in to try to neutralize the danger, on NCIS, Monday, Nov. 4 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*. Vilk, as it turned out, was at the wedding the whole time and was actually a woman named Lana. She had been seen in the bar as an unsuspecting love interest for one of Roman’s men.

The team ended up getting their main suspect and Jessica also warmed to the idea of Nick and Robin being together. She admitted that she was just scared of seeing either of them hurt and that she was happy for them. Of course, she had to pretend she was talking about herself and Nick during the wedding, but they understood what she meant.

However things play out for Robin and Nick, it does look like it helped bring Jessica closer to them both. We also got some cute banter between Jessica and Jimmy, who we’re still rooting for to get back together.
