What happened this week in One Chicago history? Here are the moments from Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Chicago Med past in the week of March 19-25.

While we enjoy the current week in One Chicago, we’re also looking back into what happened this week in One Chicago history.

These are the important dates in Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, Chicago PD and Chicago Justice past that you might remember. And if you don’t, we’ve got a refresher.

This week’s milestones include multiple episode premieres, an almost equal number of repeats, and the birthday of someone whose One Chicago connection you might have forgotten.

Here’s what happened this week in One Chicago history:

More from One Chicago Center

March 19, 2017: The Chicago Justice season 1 episode “Friendly Fire” premieres.

It was a week ago today that the best episode of Chicago Justice hit our TV’s, with Peter Stone and Mark Jefferies (Philip Winchester and Carl Weathers) butting heads over a case involving the military. Luckily, Stone didn’t actually get fired.

March 19, 2014: The Chicago PD season 1 episode “A Material Witness” premieres.

Lexi Olinsky was the only witness to a shooting in this PD episode from four years ago. This is an even tougher one to look back on now, knowing that Lexi would be killed off three seasons later in the Chicago Crossover event.

March 20, 2013: The Chicago Fire season 1 episode “Fireworks” premieres.

Five years ago this week, Peter Mills (Charlie Barnett) confronted Benny Severide (guest star Treat Williams) over the fire that killed his father. Severide’s dad also helped his son solve the mystery of two diner fires, but was it worth it for the trouble he caused at Firehouse 51?

March 22: Former Chicago PD cast member Tania Raymonde celebrates a birthday.

Tania Raymonde was one of the actors originally cast in Chicago PD who didn’t make it to the series proper. Her character, Officer Nicole Sermons, appeared in two episodes of Fire. She also co-starred opposite Jesse Lee Soffer in the Lifetime TV-movie Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret, if you want to see something a lot creepier. Meet other actors who didn’t make it to One Chicago.

March 22, 2017: The Chicago PD season 4 episode “Remember The Devil” premieres.

Last year the Intelligence Unit dealt with a criminal who left a woman locked up in a container in the middle of the woods. But unfortunately, Chicago PD fans will always remember this as the one where the show introduced Jay Halstead’s ex-wife out of the blue and the end of Linstead began.

March 22, 2016: The Chicago Fire season 4 episode “Short and Fat” repeats.

Another fill-in for Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) caused problems at Firehouse 51 in this repeat episode; this time it was Patterson (guest star Brian White). The lesson here is Boden is never allowed to take another day off, ever.

March 23, 2017: The Chicago Med season 2 episode “Extreme Measures” repeats.

We returned to the Chicago Marathon last year when NBC repeated this Med episode that had originally aired in October 2016. At least “Extreme Measures” gave us some extra screen time for two fan favorite recurring players, Patti Murin and Jeff Hephner, as both Nina Shore and Jeff Clarke were part of the marathon storyline.

March 23, 2016: The Chicago PD season 3 episode “Kasual With A K” premieres.

The year before Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and her then-partner Sean Roman (Brian Geraghty) were tracking down a catfish online, sadly without any help from Nev Schulman and Max Joseph. Now that would have been a heck of a crossover!

March 25, 2015: The Chicago PD season 2 episode “Say Her Real Name” premieres.

It was three years ago this week that we first met Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss), who dropped into Chicago from New York in this episode of Chicago PD before he became one of the stars of the next spinoff Chicago Med. Needless to say, Will and Jay’s relationship is a lot better now than it was back then!

March 25, 2014: The Chicago Fire season 2 episode “Joyriding” repeats.

Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney)’s run turned into a rescue mission in this repeat episode, while Boden again took the spotlight between talking to Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) about the future and trying to save the firehouse. So if you’re a Boden fan, this really was a weird week for him.
