Dick Wolf launches another crime drama this fall on a new network; check out the trailer for FBI now before the show’s premiere.

There’s going to be another Dick Wolf series on TV this fall—but not a new One Chicago show or another Law & Order. It won’t even be on NBC, but we have your first look at FBI.

Wolf is the co-creator and executive producer of FBI, a new procedural about the inner workings of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s New York office that will air on CBS.

He’s credited as co-creator alongside Craig Turk, who is also listed as the co-creator of another new show with One Chicago ties airing on CBS—the military drama The Code, starring Chicago Med fan favorite Ato Essandoh.

FBI was previously planned as a spin-off from Dick Wolf’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

After the cancellation of Chicago Justice, NBC restarted talks about FBI with Wolf, as network executives said in August that the producer wanted to get another show on the air.

But they didn’t last long, as CBS announced in September that it had given the show a direct-to-series order.

It’s the first scripted series that Dick Wolf has created for a network other than NBC since 1997—when, ironically, he had a show called Feds that focused on agents from the FBI’s New York division (alongside lawyers from the U.S. Attorney’s team).

Eleven years later, FBI has the same location but an obviously new cast—although you’ll recognize some of them if you’re an avid Dick Wolf show devotee.

Missy Peregrym (who guest-starred in the SVU episode “Net Worth” last year and is also known for her leading role as Andy McNally in the Canadian police drama Rookie Blue) stars as Special Agent Maggie Bell.

Bell’s boss, Jubal Valentine, is portrayed by Jeremy Sisto (who was a regular in the final three seasons of Law & Order as Detective Cyrus Lupo, and before that guested as a defense attorney on the same series).

Zeeko Zaki and Ebonee Noel also star in the show, which doesn’t have a premiere date or time slot announced yet. Hopefully it won’t be opposite any of the Dick Wolf series on NBC!
