Chicago PD coming to MyNetworkTV fall schedule
Chicago PD’s new syndication agreement is paying off, as reruns of the show will be part of the lineup on MyNetworkTV stations this fall.
Last year, Chicago PD was sold into syndication, making it the first One Chicago show to get a deal for its reruns to be aired on networks other than NBC. Now we’re starting to see more plans for syndication roll out.
MyNetworkTV, the syndicated programming service owned by 20th Century Fox, has confirmed that Chicago PD will be part of its schedule beginning in September.
Reruns will air Tuesdays at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. starting Sept. 25. Presumably, those reruns will be from the first four seasons, as was laid out in the syndication announcement last year.
However, that also claimed there would be daily reruns through FOX affiliates, and MyNetworkTV has the show scheduled weekly, so this isn’t exactly what was laid out before. The plan could have changed over seven months, or maybe this is the first of multiple announcements.

On MyNetworkTV, Chicago PD will join fellow Dick Wolf series Law & Order: Criminal Intent (which will air Mondays).
The brand currently has reruns of Law & Order: SVU on its summer schedule, but that show is not listed on the fall schedule. You can check out the complete MyNetworkTV fall schedule here.

These will be the first Chicago PD reruns to air on a network not owned by NBC’s parent company. The show currently airs repeats on USA and Oxygen, both of which are owned by NBCUniversal.
Both of those cable networks are expected to keep airing the show, which means fans will have an awful lot of PD coming their way this fall. MyNetworkTV will premiere the show on Sept. 25, with NBC starting Chicago PD season 6 on Sept. 26!
Why does this matter to One Chicago fans? The increased exposure provided by repeats is always a good thing for One Chicago, especially since this new set of repeats is on broadcast TV.
That means it will be accessible to more viewers. Both Oxygen and USA are cable networks, so they require cable subscriptions and may not be available in every fan’s TV package.
And the fact that MyNetworkTV’s reruns happen the day before new episodes air on NBC creates a nice little bit of schedule coordination for die-hard fans.
