Jordan Belfi, who guest-starred as one of the most audacious bad guys on Chicago Justice, has booked a recurring role in Chicago Fire season 7.

Another actor from Chicago Justice is returning to the One Chicago universe, as Jordan Belfi is coming aboard Chicago Fire.

He will appear in multiple episodes through the rest of Chicago Fire season 7, with Deadline saying his character is named Gordan. Gordan is a businessman who is described as “intelligent, hot-headed and privileged.”

How he comes into contact with the Firehouse 51 team has yet to be revealed, but he certainly sounds like he could be a headache for whichever characters have to deal with him.

Belfi portrayed one of the more controversial suspects during the first season of Chicago Justice. His character Jaxson Clark was prosecuted by Peter Stone (Philip Winchester) for the murder of his ex in the episode “Lily’s Law.”

Stone argued that Clark’s constant harassment of Lily over social media prompted her death. While he earned a conviction, the judge overturned the verdict and Clark was let go instead.

The actor is currently recurring as high school principal Ed Landon on The CW‘s new football drama All-American, and is best known for playing ruthless agent Adam Davies on HBO‘s hit series Entourage.

His other credits include playing Congressman Nicholas Reed on ABC‘s Scandal and, many years earlier, Assistant District Attorney Josh Lindsey on the fan favorite vampire drama Moonlight.

He also played a political mover and shaker in the Hallmark Channel romantic movie Snow Bride, so there’s that (and this trailer):

Belfi’s played both powerful good guys and powerful bad guys, so it’s a toss-up to say where he’ll end up when he comes back into the One Chicago fold. It would be interesting to see him play the hero, since his last appearance was so frustrating, but given the political games being played this season on Chicago Fire anything is possible.

Jordan Belfi joins several recurring guests who have been added to Chicago Fire this season, including Teddy Sears (as new chaplain Kyle), Kate Villanova (reporter Naomi Graham) and Tye White (as Stella Kidd’s high school friend Tyler).
