Chicago PD season 6: Guest stars who should return
When Chicago PD returns, so will some familiar faces. Here are the guest stars we’re hoping to see in the rest of Chicago PD season 6.
New Chicago PD episodes start next month, and when the show returns One Chicago fans will be seeing plenty of guest stars and recurring characters.
These are the characters who help flesh out the show’s universe, and there are many of them who have appeared over the program’s history. Not just from this season, but from seasons past, there are plenty of characters—and a few who would make the current season even better if they were to come back.
These are the recurring characters and guest stars from Chicago PD whom we’d like to have pop up again sometime this season. Check out our picks below, then let us know who you would want to see return in the comments at the end of the article.

3) Laura Dawson
The Chicago PD midseason finale was the first time the show had used Laura Dawson (America Olivo) in a while, and it shouldn’t be the last.
Her ex-husband’s story is far from over, and since they share children together, Laura has to be a part of that. How do you think she’s going to react when she finds out about the extent of his drug problem? Who’s going to be responsible for their children as Antonio gets his act together?
There’s just too much set up that the show needs Laura for. In general, bringing back characters like her and Meredith Olinsky would be a fine way to show the collateral damage that’s piled up from all of the things Intelligence has been put through, especially recently.

2) Jordan Atwater
It’s been a whole season since Chicago PD had Kevin Atwater’s (LaRoyce Hawkins) siblings sent to Texas, and they’ve hardly been referenced since. We’ve talked before on this site about how much bringing them back would help with the development of Atwater’s character, but there are other reasons to see them again, too.
How is Jordan (Kylen Davis) doing now? His brother was worried about him running with the wrong crowd before he left Chicago, so has he shaped up while he was in Texas? Just moving him to another location might not have addressed all of his concerns or issues. Maybe he’s different without Kevin’s influence in his life.
And besides, Jordan’s presence on the show could represent something else: a young man who’s learned from his mistakes and become a positive presence in the community. We see many young characters on the show who are drug dealers or otherwise involved in crimes (because this is a cop show). Why not portray a young man who’s doing great things and represent more of that?
1) Ray Price
From the moment that Chicago PD‘s theme of the season became politics, it was obvious who had to resurface: Alderman Ray Price (Wendell Pierce).
Introduced last season, Price more than any other character has represented political plotting in the city. He alternatively worked with Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) and tried to use Voight for his own ends. Essentially, he did what Katherine Brennan (Anne Heche) is doing now, except he was a politician and not a cop.
Price would be a perfect character to bring back this season because it stands to reason he’d have his own knowledge of and ambitions regarding what’s happening this season. He’s also a far more magnetic character than Brennan is; that’s just because Wendell Pierce is such a good actor. He’d turn the season’s subplot upside down, which is why it’s great that he’s coming back.
