NBC has released the official photos for season 5, episode 13 of Chicago Med, and it looks like our best doctors and nurses have their work cut out for them, as a troubled kid overwhelms the ER.

The February 5 episode, “Pain Is for the Living,” has Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee), Nurse April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta), and Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt) try to get the young boy under control; meanwhile Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) becomes suspicious of a mother that arrives at the hospital.

The episode photos show the return of April’s brother, Noah (Roland Buck III), which will be interesting, as his mentor Dr. Crockett Marcel (Dominic Rains) had a rough case during the last episode. Will Crockett be able to regain his focus to assist Noah?

Judging by the photos, it seems like Noah will have plenty to worry about on his own, as he’s seen helping his sister and Dr. Choi with other patients.

For such an intense episode, there are a few smiles that can be seen in the photos below. Since both are coming from Chexton – aka: April and Ethan – maybe it’s good news about them wanting to start their family? They finally started discussing it again, and despite April’s limited chances of conception, she was down to try IVF.

Hopefully dealing with the young boy, or whoever else comes waltzing into the hospital doesn’t put a damper on their baby plans. Of course, there’s always the possibility that April’s secret kiss with Dr. Marcel could make its way to Ethan’s ears.

While it would be devastating to have Chexton’s engagement fall apart due to that reveal, it could cause trouble for them down the road since April hasn’t told Ethan about it yet. It’s kind of like ripping off a Band-Aid: it only hurts for a second, but the longer you wait, there’s more of a chance it’ll hurt even worse.
