One Chicago fans will see a whole different side of Philip Winchester in his upcoming movie Rogue. Per the newly released Rogue trailer, he’s potentially getting eaten by wildlife.

In the movie, Winchester co-stars opposite Megan Fox, playing one of an elite group of soldiers drafted to rescue hostages in Africa. But the team finds themselves stranded, trapped between the rebels that they came to defeat and mountain lions who’d be happy to tear them to pieces.

This is one-part action film, one-part survival thriller, and it’s available on demand and on digital platforms Aug. 28, before hitting Blu-Ray and DVD on Sept. 1.

No one would expect Peter Stone on Chicago Justice to be shooting people in Africa, but what Justice viewers may not know is that Philip Winchester had a very extensive background in action projects before he entered the Dick Wolf universe.

Rogue is co-written and directed by MJ Bassett, who worked with Winchester on the Cinemax action series Strike Back, which focused on an elite British military unit called Section 20. It still stands as the best action TV series in the history of the genre.

After that show wrapped, Philip then moved on to The Player on NBC, where he played security expert Alex Kane; Bassett also directed an episode there.

While being chased by bloodthirsty animals is different from both of those things, this movie is poised to be a crazy good time for anyone who enjoys action, survival stories, or just films where things get completely out of control.

Megan Fox (the Transformers franchise) fronts Rogue as the team leader O’Hara; the cast also includes Motherland: Fort Salem star Jessica Sutton. Look at the Rogue trailer below to see lions, bad guys, and all kinds of mayhem that officially breaks loose on Aug. 28.
