The first of the One Chicago shows is still going strong, as Chicago Fire season 9 just concluded last night and the next installment is up soon. Those who tuned in on Wednesday, May 26 to see how the season ended are likely now looking to the future of the series and wondering when they can expect the story to continue. We’ll be without our favorite firefighters, paramedics, and the rest of the show’s characters for a few months, but fortunately Chicago Fire season 10 will be here before you know it.

Is Chicago Fire season 10 happening?

Fans can rest assured that they’ll be seeing the Chicago Fire Department continue on with another season, as the beloved NBC show was renewed back in February 2020 for seasons 9, 10, and even 11! All of the One Chicago shows were renewed for multiple seasons, which also includes Chicago Med and Chicago P.D. We should all be happy we won’t be saying goodbye to these gripping dramas anytime soon.

Chicago Fire season 10 release date

So now that we know Chicago Fire season 10 is definitely happening, when can we expect it to debut? Well, at the time of this article, we don’t have a confirmed release date yet, but if you’re expecting it to premiere later this year, you are correct. All previous seasons of the series have started in September, October, or November, becoming a staple for the fall TV lineup. And though we don’t know the exact date Chicago Fire season 10 will be on our screens, we do have confirmation it’ll be this fall again.

Variety reported earlier this month that all three One Chicago shows will return in time for NBC’s 2021-2022 fall schedule, also confirming that they will be released weekly on Wednesdays per usual. Chicago Fire season 10 will premiere new episodes from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. each week.

Now that Chicago Fire season 9 is officially over, we’ll be counting down the days until the fall time rolls around! Keep up with us at One Chicago Center to find out all the updates on the new seasons later this year.
