What time is Chicago Med coming to Netflix?

For the first time in the One Chicago franchise’s history, a One Chicago series is about to be available to stream on Netflix with the arrival of Chicago Med this July.

While Netflix tends to reveal its release dates at least a month out from a show or movie’s Netlfix debut, the circumstances surrounding Med‘s arrival are quite unique.

The One Chicago medical drama was not included in the original July 2021 release schedule, but on July 21 it was confirmed the series would be making its way to Netflix on July 22 as part of a new deal struck between Netflix and NBCUniversal. This is similar to the release date timeline we saw with fellow NBC series Manifest, which dropped on Netflix just one day after word first broke that a deal had been struck between Netflix and Warner Bros. Entertainment.

Interestingly, the July 22 release date is exactly two months out from the previously announced premiere date for Chicago Med season 7, which will premiere on NBC on Wednesday, Sept. 22.

Here’s when we’re expecting Med to arrive on Netflix.

Chicago Med release time on Netflix

Although it remains unclear how many seasons of Chicago Med will be coming to Netflix on Thursday, July 22, one thing that is certain is Med will be debuting on Netflix on Thursday, July 22 at 12:01 a.m. PT/3:01 a.m. ET.

It’s definitely unusual for a show to be announced and arrive on Netflix all within 24 hours, but the news should be music to fans’ ears as it will now give Med fans the chance to begin a re-watch of the show’s early seasons before season 7 kicks off in September.

We’ll also be keeping an eye out to see how the show performs upon its arrival. Should it break into the Netflix Top 10 and debut with strong streaming figures, it’s incredibly possible NBCUniversal and Netflix could look to strike a similar deal allowing for fellow One Chicago series Chicago Fire and Chicago PD to drop on Netflix as well.
