Christopher Herrmann fans can breathe a sigh of relief! After spending time in New York City filming HBO’s Sex and the City reboot, actor David Eigenberg is officially back in Chicago filming Chicago Fire season 10.

After jetting off to the Big Apple to film scenes for And Just Like That, which will see him reprising his role of Steve Brady, the boyfriend and later husband of Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon),  Eigenberg has returned to Chicago where he is back to filming season 10 with the rest of his Chicago Fire castmates.

Eigenberg’s return was confirmed by his costar Miranda Rae Mayo, who took to Instagram on Tuesday, Aug. 10, and shared a pair of behind-the-scenes videos of Eigenberg in character as Herrmann. In the videos, Eigenberg settles in behind the bar at Molly’s in what has become our first look at Eigenberg back on set since production began on season 10 last month.

Will David Eigenberg be in Chicago Fire season 10?

While the video might not offer up any teases of what’s to come for Herrmann in season 10, his presence on set is welcome news for fans who were beginning to worry about his involvement in the upcoming season of Chicago Fire.

If there was ever any doubt as to whether Eigenberg’s role in HBO’s Sex and the City reboot would hinder his ability to appear in season 10, Mayo’s video should put those concerns to bed.

Although it’s possible we could see slightly less of Herrmann in the season’s early episodes due to Eigenberg’s schedule, he’ll indeed be back in action this fall as 51’s beloved lieutenant as evident by his presence on set.

Even better, it looks like we can once again expect Molly’s to once again serve as the backdrop to plenty of new scenes this season and to see Herrmann once again behind the bar when he’s not out protecting and serving the city of Chicago alongside his 51 family.
