Jon Seda might not be making his way back to the Windy City this fall, but the Chicago PD fan-favorite is heading back to NBC via a new starring vehicle which is sure to become a favorite for One Chicago fans.
We’re, of course, referring to NBC’s much anticipated new drama La Brea in which Seda will star in what will be his first series regular role after playing Antonio Dawson for nearly eight years across Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Chicago Justice. Needless to say, One Chicago fans couldn’t be more excited for Seda’s new role and the fact that his newest series will be a part of the NBC family seems kismet.

La Brea season 1 premiere date: When does Jon Seda’s new show premiere?
Although NBC will be kicking off its fall line-up the week of Sept. 20, fans will need to wait a tad longer for the season premiere of La Brea! As previously reported, NBC’s newest original series will premiere Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 9/8c behind a new episode of The Voice.

As you might have already guessed, among the many incredible cast members set to star in La Brea season 1 is beloved Chicago PD alum Jon Seda.
Although there was some uncertainty over whether Seda would be involved in the project, Seda will return to NBC via the series which will see him star as Dr. Sam Velez, the father of a teenage daughter who is described as carrying himself as an Army general.

In addition to Seda, the La Brea cast is stacked with talented actors including Catherine Dent, Chiké Okonkwo, Chloe De Los, Eoin Macken, Ione Skye Jack Martin, Jag Bal, Josh McKenzie, Karina Logue, Lily Santiago, Natalie Zea, Nicholas Gonzalez, Rohan Mirchandaney, Veronica St. Clair and Zyra Gorecki.

The new series is a high-concept fantasy drama focusing on a family torn apart after a massive sinkhole mysteriously opens in Los Angeles, transporting those who fell into it to a primeval land. As those who fell into the sinkhole fight to stay alive in this unknown world, those in the real world are left stunned and searching for answers as to what happened to their loved ones.

"“An epic adventure begins when a massive sinkhole opens in the middle of Los Angeles, pulling hundreds of people and buildings into its depths. Those who fell in find themselves in a mysterious and dangerous primeval land, where they have no choice but to band together to survive. Meanwhile, the rest of the world desperately seeks to understand what happened. In the search for answers, one family torn apart by this disaster will have to unlock the secrets of this inexplicable event to find a way back to each other.”"
