Have we really seen the last of SPOILER on Chicago Fire?
There were a couple of familiar faces missing from the Chicago Fire season 11 premiere. One of them in particular makes us wonder what’s going on. Is that really the last we’ve seen of one character in particular?
Caution: This post contains spoilers from the Chicago Fire season 11 premiere.
Chris Mansa was missing from the Chicago Fire season 11 premiere, but he’s not the one we have questions about. His exit was clearly explained.
There is a character from season 10 that we expected to make a comeback. It was all about Emma Jacobs, played by Caitlin Carver. Emma caused a lot of trouble for Violet and Hawkins throughout the tail end of season 10. In fact, she tried to blackmail Hawkins until he decided to announce his relationship and put his own career on the line. He wasn’t letting something bad happen to Violet.

Just after that, Emma failed massively during a call. She ran out of a burning building, leaving her partner—Violet—inside to deliver a baby. Fortunately, the firefighters on Truck 81 stepped in.
Will Emma return in Chicago Fire season 11?
Hawkins told Emma that shift would be her last. She made it clear she wasn’t 51 material. It just seemed a little too anticlimactic for such a villain in the story. Was that really going to be it?
Many fans thought that it wasn’t the last we’d seen of Emma. There was clearly a much bigger storyline going on with her former workplace. It was almost like she was going to come back in the new season to continue to cause trouble for Violet.
It doesn’t look like that is going to be the case, though. Hawkins told Violet that he told DC Hill about their relationship and he was being transferred. He did all that just before Emma “flamed out.” This does suggest that Emma isn’t coming back, but Hawkins is still being transferred. There is still a chance Emma could return at some point in Chicago Fire season 11, but for now, the story has ended with Violet and Hawkins being allowed to be together.
