Chicago Med season 9 will not premiere on NBC in June 2023
Eyes are on when we’ll see the Chicago Med season 9 premiere on NBC. It is not coming in June 2023, but will we get new episodes soon?
We would love to jump straight back into Chicago Med. The season 8 finale brought us a major exit, but it also brought us a lot of change at the hospital. Will Halstead is out, and he went out while sabotaging the AI in the OR. He did this with good intentions, but it has backfired for the hospital.
It turns out that the hospital is back up for sale. We’ve already seen the problem for the doctors and nurses, as well as the patients, due to the hospital going from public to private. Now we’re sure to see more of those problems as someone else takes over. If you just want to see what trouble could be in store, you’ll want to check out The Resident.
The bad news is we have to wait to see what’s in store. There is not a new episode of the series on this month. It’s not unusual for NBC not to bring new episodes in June, but that doesn’t mean we have to like it.

When will Chicago Med season 9 premiere on NBC?
There is some good and bad news when it comes to the series. The good news is NBC has renewed Chicago Med for season 9, and it will remain on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT to kick off the night. It is also part of the fall lineup.
This usually means a September premiere date. That’s not likely to happen this year, though. The writers are on strike, so there are no episodes of the series to film just yet. If filming doesn’t start by July, a September premiere is almost impossible.
We could have to wait until 2024. This strike is set to be a long one, and it could be even worse if the actors go on strike in July.
