911 actor pens emotional goodbye message to fans, confirming his exit from the show

It seems one actor’s time on 911 has indeed come to an end. Following the season 8 fall finale, actor Callum Blue has confirmed his run on ABC’s hit series has come to an end.
Blue joined the cast in the season 8 premiere in the role of Brad Torrance, an actor on a hit firefighter show called Hotshots. Brad takes a liking to Bobby during his time as a consultant on the show and he even managed to sway the LAFD into letting him shadow the 118 team while his character was in a coma on the show. In the fall finale, Brad got the chance to see what it truly means to be a hero when he helped talk a man down from the ledge during a call with the 118.
After getting to see what it really takes to be a firefighter, Brad left the 118 behind and returned to his work on Hotshots as his character came out of his coma – and Brad even managed to get a few members of the 118 team involved in the action playing doctors on the show in a fun meta moment.
While fans might not have realized it at the time, the fall finale was designed to bring Brad’s guest arc full circle on the show and, with Brad going back to work as an actor, served as Blue’s final episode on the show. That’s right, we’ve officially seen the last of Brad it seems as confirmed by an emotional thank you left by the actor on his Instagram.
"Thank you so much for letting me ride along in the fire truck with you on this incredible journey. It has been a privilege to play Brad Torrance. I relate to him in so many ways, but especially that wounded part that is forever searching for something authentic, something that he feels is just out of reach and no matter how much fame, money, or how many wives he accumulates on the outside world, that inner yearning to be rescued lingers," Blue began.
"I am left feeling entirely satisfied and full of appreciation with my experience on [911], thank you deeply to the high vibrational and beautiful cast, crew, creators, producers, directors, and network, you have allowed me to fall in love with acting again and I'm forever grateful," he concluded in reflecting upon his time on the show.

Interestingly, confirmation of Blue’s exit as Brad comes as fans are anxious about the possible exit of a longtime member of the cast: Ryan Guzman.
In the fall finale, Guzman’s character, Eddie, was struggling to come to grips with just how much he’s been missing in Christopher’s life since he left L.A. to move to Texas where he’s been living with his grandparents. Tired of missing so much in his son’s life, Eddie decided to look into buying a home in Texas with the intent of moving there to be closer to his son.
The storyline has had fans spiraling worried about whether Eddie is truly going to leave the 118 and move to Texas, or whether Christopher might finally come home. The good news is that there have been hints that Eddie might not be leaving and we’re hoping that will mean we won’t have to say goodbye to Guzman.
We’ll get to see what’s ahead for Eddie when 911 season 8 resumes on March 6, 2025!
