We might still be waiting for our first official look at the new seasons of Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD, but NBC has at least begun the promotional rollout for the One Chicago shows’ returns this fall!
It started with the release of a new promo teasing One Chicago’s return this fall with Chicago Fire season 15, Chicago Med season 12, and Chicago PD season 14. The promo was designed to get fans hyped for the new seasons, but it basically recycled footage from the previous seasons, as the first promo for the new season often does. We then got a glimpse of the One Chicago shows, which were front and center in the new NBC 100 promo, and now NBC has rolled out the new key art for the upcoming seasons of Chicago Fire, Med, and PD, including both show-specific posters as well as a new One Chicago franchise poster.
While these new posters don’t give away much, they do officially confirm the returns of several stars from the franchise and serve as the first official confirmation of the core casts for the upcoming season. Of course, just because the key art for the upcoming seasons of Chicago Fire, Med, and PD includes 23 characters does not mean that all of them will be sticking around, as we’re actually going to be saying goodbye to three of those characters early in the season and will be saying a temporary farewell to another.

Let’s start with Chicago Fire.
The first official poster for season 15 features the biggest ensemble of any of the three One Chicago shows, with nine characters featured in the poster. Featured across the poster in descending order are Taylor Kinney (Kelly Severide), Miranda Rae Mayo (Stella Kidd), Brandon Larracuente (Sal Vasquez), Hanako Greensmith (Violet Mikami), Jocelyn Hudon (Lizzie Novak), Dermot Mulroney (Dom Pascal), David Eigenberg (Christopher Herrmann), Christian Stolte (Mouch), and Joe Minoso (Joe Cruz).
Of this group, we know that Minoso and Mulroney will both be exiting the show and are not returning as series regulars in season 15. We’ll see Pascal exit the show in the season 15 premiere, and it’s expected that Cruz’s final appearance will come within the first four episodes of the show as well, with all signs pointing towards Minoso’s last episode coming either in the premiere or the second episode of the season.
As we prepare to say goodbye to Pascal and Cruz, we’ll say hello to a few new faces, including Da’Vinchi, who joins the show as a new series regular in the role of firefighter candidate Marcus Burke. Burke won’t be the only new firefighter candidate fans will meet at the top of the season as we’re set to meet a group of new candidates, including one played by Matthew Daddario. Interestingly, Da’Vinchi does not appear on the poster for season 15, which is surprising given he’s the only new series regular who has been confirmed for Chicago Fire season 15.
Moving along to Chicago PD, the poster for season 14 features all seven of the show’s series regulars, but only six will remain series regulars through the new season. LaRoyce Hawkins makes his final appearance on a Chicago PD poster via the new key art ahead of his exit from the show after 13 seasons playing Kevin Atwater. Hawkins will exit the show in the second episode of the season, and we anticipated he might not appear on the poster, but thankfully NBC’s creative team chose to include him.
In addition to Hawkins, the poster also features returning stars Jason Beghe (Hank Voight), Marina Squerciati (Kim Burgess), Patrick John Flueger (Adam Ruzek), Benjamin Levy Aguilar (Dante Torres), Arienne Mandi (Eva Imani), and Amy Morton (Trudy Platt). The six stars will serve as the core unit for the show following Hawkins’ exit, though a new series regular is being cast and will join the show sometime in season 14.
Last but certainly not least, we have Chicago Med’s season 12 poster, which confirms the returns of seven key members of the show’s ensemble.
Featured up front are the show's two remaining original cast members, S. Epatha Merkerson (Sharon Goodwin) and Oliver Platt (Dr. Daniel Charles). They’re joined by returning stars Steven Weber (Dr. Dean Archer), Jessy Schram (Dr. Hannah Asher), Luke Mitchell (Dr. Mitch Ripley), Sarah Ramos (Dr. Caitlin Lenox), and Darren Barnet (Dr. John Frost). Chicago Med is the one show not impacted by cast shakeups this season, though the show will be without Ramos for several episodes at the beginning of the season to accommodate her maternity leave from the show.
While the Chicago Med season 12 poster features the core ensemble of the show, there are definitely a few glaring omissions from the poster, including Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut (Dr. Naomi Howard) and Lorena Diaz (Nurse Doris Perez). Although it might not be surprising to see the pair excluded from the poster, that doesn’t make it any less disappointing. Whether there is any reason for concern about their absence from the poster, we’ll have to tune in this fall to see how big of a role the two characters have in the new season.
Chicago Fire, Med, and PD return to NBC’s lineup on Wednesday, October 7, beginning with the Chicago Med premiere at 8/7c.
