NBC has released the official photos for season 5, episode 2 of Chicago Med, and fans can look forward to more drama between characters, as well as more interactions for certain couples.
The October 2 episode, entitled “We’re Lost in the Dark,” will feature Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) and Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) going back to work after their car accident in the season 5 premiere.
According to NBC’s press release, Will questions Natalie’s capabilities, which may explain the photos below that show their interaction. The promotional photos also show Natalie talking to Maggie Lockwood (Marlyne Barrett) about something important, given their slightly distressed expressions. Could Maggie finally be revealing her diagnosis to someone other than Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson)?
Med‘s second episode will continue its feature of trauma surgeon, Dr. Crockett Marcel (Dominic Rains). In the premiere he had suspicions surrounding Phillip Davis’ (Ian Harding) “engagement” to Natalie, so will Dr. Marcel find himself in the middle of more drama this season?

In addition to the new character, this Med episode will show a familiar face too. April Sexton’s (Yaya DaCosta) brother, Noah (Roland Buck III) returns, and judging by the stern look on his face, it appears he’s all business this time around. While he hasn’t been the perfect med student, perhaps his sister’s support over the years has finally motivated him to become more focused on his work.
