When we left off with Fire Country, eaglets were the focus of the episode along with a side of unpacked trauma via Camden Casey. Though it wasn't fully explored in "Not without My Birds," the incident of the week brought up his feelings on the loss of his brother and crew. It was Camden's motivator for pulling out of the scene with his cadets and why he kept pushing Bode to rid himself of distractions.

Bode chose to work the scene with his family in spite of Camden's orders, but he and Gabriela did wind up putting an end to their situationship when she couldn't move forward like he'd hoped. The episode ended with Gabriela and Camden seeing each other from across the bar. Hopefully that didn't foreshadow a poor choice from both of them but we won't find out this week.

The firefighter drama won't be on at all tonight, Nov. 29. CBS is airing Blue Bloods: Celebrating a Family Legacy at 9 p.m. ET instead. It's a retrospective highlighting the beloved cop series as the network celebrates 293 episodes and 14 years with the show ahead of its finale on Dec. 13. When will Fire Country air a new episode? Here's what we know!

When does Fire Country return with new episodes?

We're in for a little longer of a wait for our return to Edgewater. "False Alarm" airs Friday, Dec. 6. Like the episode title gives away, the core of the story will be centered on a false alarm but that call is one that spirals out of control when it spins into a hostage situation.

As the promo shows, Bode's nearing on the end of his cadet training program. Thanks to the events of episode 6, "Not without My Birds," he and Camden aren't on the best of terms. Their disagreement could have an impact on whether or not he graduates and can join Cal Fire, hence why he wants to prove himself. Though the promo doesn't touch on it, this is likely Audrey's last opportunity to impress Camden as well. In our interview with Max Thieriot, he shared the pair's mindset regarding their friendship and time in the program:

"The two of them are on this really fun journey this season together. There's fear over, obviously, failing out of the program. There's competitive, you know, jostling that they sort of do because of the uncertainty over how many spots are available and it's specifically at 42 which is somewhere they both want be.

At the same time I think that the two of them are able to understand each other better than anybody else at this point. Just because of the things--doing time in prison and the life experiences that the two have had and that they share it's still like one of the things that you can talk about but if you haven't done it, you don't understand.

So I think they have this deeper understanding of each other than anyone else. That helps evolve their relationship and progress their relationship and friendship in ways that others aren't really able to do. Both think they have to kind of lean on each other a lot and help each other. Either help each other succeed or help each other fight different urges and help each other from making mistakes that might allow them to fail."

Bode and Audrey have grown closer since their initial antagonistic dynamic. It may be their friendship that helps carry them both through to the tail end of the cadet training program but first they have to get out of this hostage situation alive.

After episode 7, "False Alarm," Fire Country will only have episode 8, "Promise Me," left to air before it heads into hiatus. The fall finale, per Blavity, focuses on Eve's family as she must reunite with her estranged father, Elroy Edwards, when a series of zombie fires force a face-to-face.
