Chicago PD spoilers: What to expect in season 11, episode 11

Chicago PD is inching closer and closer to its season 11 finale. There's been an emphasis on kidnapping and abduction cases this year, but the upcoming episode, "The Water Line," changes things up by switching the focus to armed robbery. Well, multiple robberies, actually.

After getting episodes focused on Dante Torres (Benjamin Levy Aguilar) and Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos), PD will bring the focus back to Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins). The character will undergo a crisis of confidence in "The Water Line," and it largely has to do with his handling of the armed robbery case.

Kevin Atwater pursues armed robbers

A mysterious figure from Atwater's past will resurface in the episode. The character will provide crucial info on the armed robberies that have been overtaking Chicago, but in the process, raise complicated questions about how they are all connected.

Atwater hasn't gotten a whole lot to do in season 11, so it'll be nice to see take the lead on a new case before the year is up. The promo sees the character with the aforementioned tip sneak into Atwater and voice his concern about being seen with the officer. There's also a point in which Hank Voight (who's back after missing last week's episode) asserts that this source could be the key to solving everything.

The most harrowing part of the promo is undoubtedly the ending. An unidentified man slams the character against a wall and Atwater is forced to step in. Atwater and the man fight over a gun but the clip cuts off before we can see what happens.

Petrovic does not appear in the promo

Here's the official synopsis for "The Water Line":

"As Atwater finds himself distracted by a past case, a CI from his past resurfaces with a tip on a string of armed robberies that are raising concerns."

Josephine Petrovic (Bojana Novakovic) does not show up anywhere in the promo or the photos from the episode, which makes sense given that she decided to check herself into rehab at the end of the last episode. The character does appear in the promo photos for episode 11012, though, so her stay isn't very long.
