Daniel Di Tomasso is coming to Chicago Fire in Thursday’s episode, and his arrival is going to shake up two of the show’s favorite ships.

Stellaride and Brettonio shippers aren’t going to be happy to see Daniel Di Tomasso, as Zach is a rival for both Stella’s and Kidd’s affections. But whichever woman he ultimately chooses, he’s not going anywhere for a little while.
NBC’s official descriptions confirm that Zach sticks around on Chicago Fire for at least the next three episodes (tonight’s episode and two more). Given that Derek Haas has confirmed that we’ve not seen the end of Brettonio, evidence points toward Zach hooking up with Stella.
Di Tomasso has experience playing the love interest to a character, and in having that relationship be complicated—on Witches of East End, he competed with his character’s own brother—so he’d seem to be the right man for the job. The question is whether or not Chicago Fire fans will be as interested in Zach as Brett and Stella are.
