Who is Chicago PD season 5 guest star Titus Welliver?
Chicago PD welcomes Titus Welliver next week, so who is he and why are we excited? Meet Titus Welliver ahead of his Chicago PD season 5 appearance.
The next Chicago PD guest star is a phenomenal one. Titus Welliver will appear Wednesday and antagonize the Intelligence Unit, particularly Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos).
When Upton returns to her undercover roots to take down a drug ring, that brings her face to face with Welliver’s character, and neither of them are thrilled to see each other again.
One Chicago fans should be thrilled to see Titus Welliver on Chicago PD, though, because he’s one of the most prolific faces on television.
While he’ll be playing a villain next week, the actor’s day job is ironically on the right side of the law. He stars as Los Angeles police detective Harry Bosch in Amazon‘s original series Bosch, which has been renewed for a fifth season and is based on the Michael Connelly novels.

But he’s brought both good guys and bad guys to life over his lengthy career.
TV fans will also know Titus Welliver as The Man in Black, the major antagonist of ABC‘s hit series Lost. Welliver played the entity’s human form over three episodes, including the series finale.
From 2004 to 2006, he also played Silas Adams in the critically acclaimed HBO series Deadwood, where his ruthless character worked for Al Swearengen (Ian McShane).
And a little more recently, Welliver was a recurring thorn in the side of the Florrick family as Glenn Childs in CBS‘s The Good Wife and played Harvey Specter’s tough client Dominic Barone on USA‘s Suits.
Basically, when TV needs someone who can throw their weight around and take no crap from anyone, this is the actor that gets the call. He’s made a career out of playing characters who can hold their own and make someone wither with just a look or a line—which will make him a tough threat for Upton when he comes to Chicago PD.
Though this is Welliver’s first time on Chicago PD or in One Chicago at all, he’s got some history in the Dick Wolf world. He’s appeared in episodes of Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Law & Order: Los Angeles.
The actor should make a perfect pair with Tracy Spiridakos. As we’ve been wanting to know more about Upton, particularly her undercover past that was mentioned last season but didn’t come up this season yet, this will not only answer some questions about her—but give Spiridakos another strong actor to play off of as she digs further into her character.
This is an excellent bit of casting for One Chicago, and we can’t wait to see how it plays out.
