Chicago Med season 6 character preview: Ethan Choi

What will happen

Choi and April will likely get back together. As we mentioned in our character preview for April, she desperately wants him back, and he’s blaming himself for at least part of the demise of their relationship. Those aren’t signs of a couple that’s broken. Chicago Med will have them make up in some way, likely within the first few episodes of the season, and don’t expect April to face much in the way of further consequences for her actions.

Furthermore, don’t expect anyone to look at Ethan any differently, either. Nobody seemed to bat an eyelash after his confrontations with Crockett and unless season 6 picks up right after season 5 left off some time will have passed. He’ll go back to work like normal. There might still be some tension between him and Crockett, but even that will eventually go away as the show moves on from last season’s story arcs. After all, Crockett has a new relationship the writers will focus on; they’re over him and April.

With that behind him and his relationship likely restored nothing much will change for Choi. He’ll go back to treating patients and be happy with his girlfriend after they’ve reconciled yet again. The only question is if they’ll continue pursing a baby but hopefully for all involved they won’t. They’re not ready and it put them through enough. But will they be the next One Chicago couple to walk down the aisle considering that they keep getting back together?
