Since the Chicago Fire season 14 finale, fans have been worried about which long-time character or characters we could be saying goodbye to after that explosive cliffhanger. Well, there's still no real confirmation on that front as production looks to get started on season 15 very soon. But we officially have our first new member of the Firehouse 15 team for the new season.
While the anticipation rages on for how the cast could change shape, Chicago Fire season 15 has added All American and BMF alum Da'Vinchi to the cast. Rather than starting out as a recurring character, the actor will be part of the main cast right away like so many new characters in the past, including last year's addition, Brandon Larracuente as Sal Vasquez.
Da'Vinchi joins Chicago Fire season 15 cast in series regular role
According to Deadline's report of the Chicago Fire season 15 cast addition, Da'Vinchi will be playing the character Marcus Burke, a new firefighter candidate looking to officially join the team, which gives us more questions than answers. Marcus is described as "roguish and funny," though like his fellow Firehouse 51 newcomer Vasquez, he apparently also has a streak of defiance.
Da'Vinchi previously starred in the Starz crime drama BMF as Terry Flenory. The series came to an end in September 2025 after four seasons. The actor also appeared in the 2020 film The Way Back, an episode of the Prime Video hit series The Boys, and recurred in the long-running series Grown-ish on Freeform and All American on The CW.
In addition to his upcoming role as a firefighter candidate in Chicago Fire season 15, Da'Vinchi will also play a firefighter in the upcoming Tyler Perry firefighter drama Where There's Smoke on Netflix. He also has a series regular role in Perry's new show as Noah, another firefighter character the actor has already given fans a first look at in various posts on his Instagram.
Because Chicago Fire has added a new series regular to the cast, fans will surely begin to wonder what this will mean for the conclusion of the cliffhanger in the season 15 premiere. Is Da'Vinchi replacing someone? We have been bracing ourselves for a possible death of a main character and a departure from a cast member, but no spoilers have been spilled on that front just yet.
While Dermot Mulroney's character, Chief Pascal, wasn't in harm's way in the season 14 finale, the actor's role in The Hunting Wives could prevent the star from appearing in a regular capacity moving forward. That's one series regular cast member exit that could be potentially accounted for, as Deadline has seemingly revealed the main cast for Chicago Fire season 15.
Taylor Kinney and Miranda Rae Mayo's returns were confirmed before the season 14 finale aired, but Da'Vinchi will join the series regular cast that currently includes David Eigenberg, Christian Stolte, Joe Miñoso, Hanako Greensmith, Jocelyn Hudon, and Brandon Larracuente. Again, the cast hasn't been locked in by NBC just yet, though all fans are surely manifesting that we don't lose anyone.
